Here in 3rd class, we’ve learned so much in our first term of school
There is a big focus on Wellbeing in our school. We take time to talk about how we are feel every day in class. We also have Wellbeing journals where we write about different things like our Rainbow Moments, things we are grateful for & our talents and dreams. Here are some of our class taking part in Cosmic Yoga.
We were learning about our 5 senses in Science. At the end of our lesson we went on a Senses Trail around the Nun’s Walk. We took a record of things we heard, saw etc.
We were learning all about various shapes in Maths. We took part in a Shape Hunt, trying to find as many shapes as possible. We had such great fun!
We are all delighted to be back in school and to be having fun with our friends. Over the past few weeks, we have been learning all about the Vikings. The Vikings were fierce warriors who came from Scandinavia. and travelled in longships. Longships were long, thin and light to help them move quickly over water. Check out all of our fantastic Viking art that we’ve been working on!
We’ve also been learning all about Denmark, a country that was once home to Viking warriors! It is a small country in northern Europe. We used the tablets to find out lots of interesting facts about Denmark. Did you know that lego was invented in Denmark?!
This month, we started reading our novel, ‘The Twits’ by Roald Dahl. Mr and Mrs Twit are a very nasty couple who play a lot of tricks on each other. We had great fun coming up with our own horrid tricks! We are looking forward to reading the rest of the story.
