Here in 3rd class, we’ve learned so much in our first term of school!
We have really been enjoying our Maths and Literacy Stations in class, which started back in September. We’ve been getting the chance to play games, read stories and learn as part of smaller groups!
We have been ‘checking out’ the new school library this month. We love getting the chance to do some extra reading in school!
Tennis lessons were taking place in September and we were so lucky to get to try out the new tennis courts in Ballyjamesduff during our last session… We had a ball!
It was World Sign Language day in September and we got a chance to learn and practice some handy sayings in Irish Sign Language (ISL)
During our 1st week back at school we went on a nature walk to search for different types of plants and trees in our locality.
We have loved getting the chance to learn in our new Outdoor Classroom!
It was a real ‘balancing act’ in our PE lessons this month as we’ve be working on improving our gymnastics skills!
In Geography, we have been learning all about maps, we even tried creating our own treasure maps using some special coordinates!
We were ‘flat out’ this week as we were making some pancakes on Pancake Tuesday! We had great fun!
We had a blast during World Book week this year, we played some literacy games, created special stories with the help of 4th class and even dressed up as our favourite characters!
