Third Class

Fáilte romhat go rang a Trí

In Rang a trí we have been learning all about worms and how they are really good for the soil, which helps plants to grow.

Digging for worms

Calculating our lung capacity

In Science we used balloons to check out how much air we can fit in our lungs.

Third Class have been learning about the Vikings and their invasion of Ireland. The children enjoyed learning about how the Vikings influenced Irish life and how various towns and cities in Ireland were founded by the Vikings. Third class pupils then created their own Viking longships which they made using paper plates. Be sure and ask any 3rd class pupil about the Vikings if you meet them around the school!

We have been practising Yoga here in Third Class

We designed our own arcade games based on Caines Arcade

We measured the rainfall for January using our rain gauges

Project Time

3rd class learned all about Poland in Geography. We then researched the country and created projects. Here we are presenting our Poland projects to the class.

We were learning about directions in English. Here we are playing a directions game using Lego. It was so much fun trying to guide our friends to replicate our Lego structures using directions.
