We got off to a colourful start here in Junior Infants!!

For Halloween we made Frankenstein’s Monster masks.
On our nature walk we tried to find all of the things on our checklists – acorns, conkers, autumn leaves, squirrels, and hedgehogs.

Junior Infants were busy bees this week! They were showing teacher how it’s done by writing words using their sounds! They used chalk to write not only their letters, but their numbers too.
Tasty Treats-Rice Krispie Buns
This month, Junior Infants were learning about Heat and how different things melt when they get hot. We decided to test this out by conducting an experiment. We heated chocolate and watched it melt. We put this chocolate to good use by making (and eating!) Rice Krispie Buns! Yum!
Junior Infants have been learning gymnastics. We are having a great time learning new skills!
Rainy Day Activity Breaks
We have had lots of rainy and icy days this winter so to keep fit we have been doing lots of dancing and taking shake breaks!

Capacity in Junior Infants
Junior Infants were making a splash in Maths this week! We were learning all about the Capacity of different containers. We decided to become Capacity Investigators by estimating and measuring the capacity of lots of containers!
We really enjoyed the sunny days we had recently!! We were learning all about animals that live in the Zoo and we decided to bring in our Zoo Animals from home!
